My team and I were prompted to create a brand around the idea of an instant flavor enhancer for alcoholic beverages. Without much information about the product, as it was still in the developmental stages, and without any design references or preferences from the client, we went to work. While it’s impossible to outline the entire process, this page goes over some big moments.

The way our client wanted our process to start, was to research available brand names and then create logos to present to investors for approval. While this isn’t ideally what I would do when starting the identity process, we understood the client’s need to do so.

“Cabin Crew” ultimately won the hearts and minds of our clients and investors. We then decided to introduce a mascot to the branding, as it would present a familiar face when marketing the product and further push the aviation theme.

So you have your brand name, and you have your logo. You have a brand right? Your design, marketing, and sales team have enough information to make this brand a success right? Obviously not. This is what I mean by creating the “box.” Create a box by defining the brand so that all teams involved, know what the brand is and what it stands for, who it’s for, and what it should look like. If you give your teams this, you ultimately give them freedom and direction within this well defined box. Click the link below to see how I did this for Cabin Crew.

I knew I could trust my team to build out a solid media kit for product launch so I taked myself to start designing the website for online sales and product information. Please note that I am no longer involved with the project and no longer maintain the website as of January 13, 2025.

We received the final dielines for the packaging pretty late in the project timeline and our client needed these done quickly. Given all our planning and having a well defined brand visually and from a marketing standpoint, creating the final packaging was a dream.
